During October 2025, dsw focused on enhancing governance and collaboration workflows in the cncf/people repository by implementing explicit administrator permissions for a new collaborator. Using configuration management best practices and working primarily with YAML, dsw updated the cncf.io configuration to formalize admin access controls, ensuring secure and scalable onboarding. This work addressed the need for clear permission boundaries and improved project security by codifying administrator roles directly in the repository’s configuration. While the scope was limited to a single feature, the solution demonstrated a methodical approach to permissions management and contributed to more robust governance processes within the CNCF project infrastructure.
