Worked on the openemr/openemr repository to enhance the Eye Form’s Anterior Segment by extending the OSCONJ field, allowing users to input more than 25 characters. Addressed a data truncation issue by updating the database schema, changing the OSCONJ column type from varchar(25) to text, and aligning it with related fields for consistency. Validated the upgrade path from version 8.1.0 to 8.1.1 to ensure seamless deployment and maintained data integrity throughout the process. Focused on SQL and database management, the work improved clinical data capture and user experience, with all changes delivered through high-quality, collaborative commits.
