During November 2024, Mariana Fernandes enhanced the Feast ingestion pathway within the acryldata/datahub repository to improve data governance and discoverability. She extended the existing plugin to extract and ingest tags and ownership metadata from Feast entities, enriching DataHub’s metadata management capabilities. Her approach involved adding configuration options for tag and owner extraction, as well as mapping owner details, all while maintaining compatibility with the current plugin architecture. Utilizing Python for development and leveraging her expertise in API integration and data ingestion, Mariana delivered a focused feature that addressed metadata enrichment without introducing bugs, demonstrating depth in targeted engineering work.
