Worked on enhancing the Feast ingestion pathway within the acryldata/datahub repository to improve data governance and metadata discoverability. Focused on extending the existing plugin to extract and ingest tags and ownership information from Feast entities, the work introduced new configuration options for enabling tag and owner extraction as well as mappings for owner details. Leveraged Python for development, with an emphasis on API integration and metadata management to ensure compatibility with the existing plugin architecture. The enhancements enriched DataHub’s metadata layer, allowing for more granular governance and visibility into data ownership, while maintaining seamless deployment and integration with current workflows.
