Developed and delivered a targeted enhancement to the zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr repository by implementing explicit Wi‑Fi status codes in the ESP32 driver, replacing previously generic codes to provide clearer diagnostics during connection and disconnection events. Focused on low-level C programming and embedded systems, the work improved error handling and feedback for Wi‑Fi management within Zephyr, enabling faster troubleshooting and more robust network behavior for ESP32 deployments. The approach maintained compatibility with existing Zephyr APIs and adhered to project coding standards, demonstrating careful driver development practices and attention to maintainability. No major bugs were reported during this period, reflecting focused, high-quality engineering.
