Martin contributed to the web-infra-dev/rspack repository by enhancing error handling for unsupported webpack hooks. He implemented clear, actionable error messages that specify which hooks are unsupported, explain the reasons, and reference available alternatives, thereby reducing confusion for plugin developers. Using TypeScript and leveraging his skills in full stack development and testing, Martin added regression tests to ensure the accuracy and stability of these new messages, updating test snapshots to reflect the improved outputs. This work improved maintainability and clarified compatibility expectations, ultimately streamlining the developer experience and reducing support overhead for the rspack plugin ecosystem during February 2026.
