Worked on security hardening for the BandaStation repository, focusing on radio uplink authentication. Developed a new code generation system in DM that replaced single-word codes with three-word combinations, expanding the authentication space to 17,576 possibilities and reducing brute-force risks. The approach centered on security enhancement and game development principles, with careful attention to access vector hardening. Collaborated across teams to document changes and co-author pull requests, ensuring clear communication and maintainability. The work included explicit changelog updates and efficient refactoring, resulting in a more robust authentication mechanism applicable to BandaStation and similar systems requiring secure code entry.
