During May 2025, Mate Ory enhanced the axoflow/axosyslog repository by focusing on the reliability of cache management. He developed and expanded automated tests for atomic cache_json_file updates, validating atomic file moves and ensuring automatic content reloads. This work, implemented in Python and centered on backend development and file operations, aimed to detect race conditions and edge cases in atomic write paths. By refactoring the test suite for better isolation and maintainability, Mate improved the feedback cycle for developers. These efforts strengthened cache robustness, reducing the risk of production incidents and improving the stability of log processing within axosyslog.
