Developed a new DNS routing option for regional hostnames in the Shopify/terraform-provider-cloudflare repository, expanding the provider’s regional deployment capabilities while maintaining backward compatibility. Leveraged Go and Terraform to implement this feature, focusing on enhancing customer configurability for more granular routing scenarios with Cloudflare. Updated and extended the existing test suite to ensure the new functionality was thoroughly validated, emphasizing regression safety and integration with continuous integration workflows. The work demonstrated a disciplined approach to testing and collaboration, delivering a robust extension to the provider’s core behavior without introducing breaking changes or regressions, and supporting evolving infrastructure needs.
