During July 2025, Mpl contributed to the cilium/cilium repository by enhancing reliability and efficiency in continuous integration workflows. They addressed an EKS conformance issue by extending AWS token lifespans to eight hours, ensuring uninterrupted cluster setup and reducing workflow failures. Mpl also improved CI performance by upgrading the Go linting process, dynamically selecting more powerful GitHub Actions runners to accelerate lint tasks. Their work involved writing and updating YAML-based workflows, leveraging AWS and CI/CD best practices. These targeted improvements demonstrated a focused approach to solving operational bottlenecks, resulting in more robust and efficient automation for the project’s development pipeline.
