Worked on stabilizing user interface interactions and navigation within GetStream’s Android products, focusing on reliability and user experience. Addressed two core issues: resolved a visual inconsistency in the Message Composer UI in the stream-chat-android repository by aligning label and text field styles using Jetpack Compose, which eliminated input glitches during user interaction. Additionally, improved navigation in the stream-video-android repository by correctly wiring the onBackPressed event to the CallAppBar, ensuring expected back navigation behavior in video calls. Utilized Kotlin and Android UI development best practices, emphasizing commit-level traceability and targeted bug fixing to reduce user friction and support requests.
