Worked on the mattermost/mattermost repository to update the prepackaged Playbooks plugin to version 2.7.0, focusing on enhancing security and compliance through FIPS readiness. Leveraged build automation and DevOps practices to ensure the new plugin version, which included the latest features and security patches, was integrated seamlessly into the core build. Utilized Makefile for dependency management and automated merging, validating that the update maintained build stability and compatibility with existing workflows. This work addressed regulatory requirements for customers in regulated environments, reduced deployment risk, and ensured that the platform remained aligned with evolving security standards without introducing regressions or instability.
