During May 2025, Mauro Piazza developed a cross-chain token transfer framework for the hyperlane-monorepo, focusing on enabling seamless L2-to-L1 native asset bridging and Circle’s CCTP-based transfers. He implemented OpStack L2-to-L1 ITokenBridge contracts with ISMs and CCIP-read enhancements, as well as CCTP TokenBridge contracts with integrated CCIP-read services. Using Solidity and TypeScript, Mauro addressed cross-chain interoperability challenges by supporting end-to-end transfers between Optimism L2 and L1, while improving security and resilience through ISM and CCIP-read patterns. The work demonstrated depth in backend and smart contract development, delivering robust cross-chain bridge functionality without reported bugs.

May 2025: Delivered cross-chain token transfer framework with CCIP/CCTP integration for hyperlane-monorepo. Implemented OpStack L2-to-L1 ITokenBridge native asset bridge with ISMs and CCIP-read updates, and CCTP-based TokenBridge contracts with CCIP-read service for Circle transfers. These capabilities enable end-to-end L2↔L1 transfers, unlock L2 liquidity, and improve security and resilience through CCIP-read/ISM patterns.
