Max Firman contributed to the dagster-io/dagster repository by developing and integrating a new Dremio UI icon, aimed at improving visual identification and user experience for Dremio-related resources. Working primarily with React and JavaScript, Max focused on seamless UI asset integration, ensuring the new icon was backward-compatible and non-breaking. The implementation included thorough UI validation and updates to the changelog and release notes, supporting clear documentation and onboarding. Although the scope was limited to a single feature over one month, the work enhanced UX consistency and facilitated faster adoption of Dremio integrations within the Dagster platform’s front end.
