Developed a salary distribution visualization enhancement for the BuildCanada/CanadaSpends repository, focusing on improving data clarity for stakeholders. The work involved adding a median reference line to the existing bar chart, allowing users to quickly identify the central tendency within salary data. Additionally, a median salary bucket calculator was implemented to provide a more nuanced interpretation of salary dispersion. This end-to-end feature was built using React for the front end and leveraged both JavaScript and TypeScript to ensure robust data handling. The enhancement supports more informed, data-driven budgeting decisions by making salary benchmarking more accessible and visually intuitive on the dashboard.
