During July 2025, Marc Brousseau focused on maintaining the AvaloniaUI/AvaloniaEdit repository by upgrading its TextMateSharp and TextMateSharp.Grammars dependencies to version 1.0.70. This work centered on dependency management using XML, with all modifications limited to the project file and no direct code changes required. The upgrade aimed to deliver bug fixes and potential performance improvements from the updated libraries, enhancing syntax highlighting compatibility and overall stability for Avalonia-based text editing applications. The scope of the work was narrow, reflecting a targeted maintenance effort that ensured continued reliability without introducing risk or complexity to the existing codebase.
