Worked on the torvalds/linux repository to enhance network management and performance for the Renesas/R-Car Rswitch driver. Focused on C programming and Linux kernel development, the work introduced configurable MAC table aging, allowing dynamic adjustment of ageing times to improve network control. Enabled L2 hardware offload for the R-Car S4 Rswitch, which reduced CPU utilization and increased data throughput. Additionally, restructured the Rswitch driver by splitting it into multiple modules and renaming the core file to rswitch_main.c, laying the groundwork for future enhancements. The contributions centered on kernel-level driver development and network programming, addressing both maintainability and performance.
