During October 2025, Fbac focused on enhancing caching reliability for the xmtp/xmtp-ios repository by implementing a targeted Client Cache Key Enhancement. This work involved updating the cache key generation logic to incorporate the gatewayHost, ensuring more accurate cache correctness and improved gateway routing. Fbac extended the ClientOptions structure and modified the ApiCacheKey string representation to support this change, addressing potential inconsistencies in client-server communication. The project was developed in Swift and leveraged expertise in iOS development and caching strategies. The depth of the work established a foundation for more robust cross-gateway caching in future iterations of the codebase.
