Worked on improving standards compliance and documentation clarity for Mozilla WebExtensions across the hamishwillee/content and mdn/content repositories. Addressed two bugs by migrating the WebExtension manifest from version 2 to 3 and correcting extension naming to align with current Mozilla requirements, using JSON for manifest updates. Enhanced documentation in Markdown to clarify that the default_icon property is optional for page actions, reducing potential confusion for developers and users. Focused on technical writing and extension development, these changes improved cross-repository consistency, ensured better compatibility with Firefox, and contributed to smoother release processes by aligning with evolving web development standards.
