Developed and delivered an end-to-end feature for the datahub-project/datahub repository, enabling extraction of primary key, foreign key, and partition key constraints from Unity Catalog to enhance metadata ingestion. The implementation introduced a configurable option to toggle constraint fetching, allowing teams to optimize ingestion performance based on their needs. Data models were updated to store detailed constraint information, improving schema representation and supporting richer governance and lineage insights within DataHub. The work involved Python programming and leveraged skills in API integration, data ingestion, and metadata management, with a focus on robust testing and collaborative development throughout the delivery process.
