Worked on the vellum-ai/vellum-python-sdks repository, focusing on backend development using Python. Addressed a critical issue in the prompt processing logic by implementing a targeted bug fix that excluded THINKING outputs of type STRING from final user-visible outputs in both InlinePromptNode and PromptDeploymentNode. This change improved the reliability and clarity of string_outputs by ensuring that intermediate reasoning steps were not exposed to end users. The solution was validated through existing tests and continuous integration pipelines, maintaining code quality while enhancing output trustworthiness. The work demonstrated careful attention to detail in backend logic and a strong understanding of SDK development practices.
