During September 2025, Melody Ma developed version tracing and versioning capabilities for the trlc tool in the bmw-software-engineering/lobster repository. She consolidated configuration files by merging settings into a single YAML file and removed obsolete configurations, streamlining the setup process. Melody enhanced the tool’s integration to recognize and process version attributes, ensuring requirements could be traced through code changes for improved auditability and release readiness. Her work included comprehensive unit and system tests to validate the new versioning flow.
