Addressed a persistent installation issue by ensuring the authenticate-pam module was included in the npm package and refining the .npmignore configuration. Developed a postinstall script in JavaScript and Shell that detects conflicts between npm_config_prefix and NVM, providing clear guidance for resolution. This targeted bug fix enhanced developer onboarding and improved CI reproducibility by reducing common setup failures. The work demonstrated attention to documentation and package management using Node.js and npm, resulting in a more stable and predictable installation process for contributors and automated workflows.
