Worked on stabilizing and improving the correctness of the Skia JPEG XL decoder within the google/skia repository, focusing on C++ development and codec optimization. Addressed a critical bug in SkJpegxlCodec by correcting an assignment to a comparison, which restored proper frame caching and prevented unnecessary rewinds during decoding. Enhanced decoder reliability further by adding in-class initializers in SkJpegxlCodecPriv, eliminating risks of uninitialized member access. These targeted changes, delivered through a thorough code review process, improved JPEG XL asset rendering stability and reduced the likelihood of regressions, demonstrating careful attention to memory safety and robust bug fixing practices.
