Merlijn focused on dependency management for the BuilderIO/mitosis repository, upgrading the @template/server-react package to the latest dependencies using YAML configuration. By documenting the minor version bump with a changeset, Merlijn ensured traceability and established a repeatable process for future upgrades. This work improved the package’s security, stability, and compatibility with downstream consumers, addressing potential risks associated with outdated libraries. The approach emphasized maintainability and ecosystem alignment, laying groundwork for future feature development. Although the scope was limited to a single feature over one month, the work demonstrated careful attention to foundational engineering practices and effective use of dependency management skills.
