Worked on the apache/iceberg repository to deliver HTTP client proxy configuration that allows proxy settings to be defined at runtime using system properties and environment variables. This feature enables flexible network configurations across various deployment environments, including on-premises, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines, reducing the need for manual network setup. The implementation focused on backend and API development using Java, ensuring that HTTP clients can dynamically utilize proxy settings without requiring code changes. By integrating this capability, the work addressed the need for adaptable network connectivity, supporting smoother deployments and maintenance in diverse infrastructure scenarios while maintaining codebase simplicity.
