During November 2025, Metamath enhanced the modelcontextprotocol/modelcontextprotocol repository by refining the NWS HTTPX example to better handle API redirects and clarify geocoordinate usage. They enabled transparent redirect following in the asynchronous Python client, ensuring compatibility with evolving NWS API endpoints. Metamath also improved documentation, specifying recommended latitude and longitude precision, which aids developers in integrating the example with fewer onboarding issues. Their work focused on API development, asynchronous programming, and technical writing, resulting in a more robust and reliable example.
