During November 2024, M. Fernandes enhanced the Feast ingestion pathway within the acryldata/datahub repository to strengthen data governance and improve metadata discoverability. They extended the existing plugin to extract and ingest tags and ownership information from Feast entities, enriching DataHub’s metadata layer. The implementation introduced new configuration options, allowing users to enable tag and owner extraction and to map owner details flexibly. Working primarily in Python, Fernandes focused on API integration and metadata management, ensuring the new features maintained compatibility with the existing plugin architecture. The work addressed governance needs by making ownership and tagging more visible and configurable.
