In December 2024, Michael Green developed the foundational host inventory management capability for the Holo-Host/holo-host repository. He designed and implemented the HAL/inventory crate, establishing the initial file structures, dependencies, and a basic scaffold for automated hardware and system information collection. Leveraging Rust and system programming skills, Michael focused on cross-platform development, data serialization, and file system interaction to enable scalable asset visibility. While the work was limited to a single feature and did not address bug fixes, it provided a robust starting point for future enhancements in inventory accuracy and downstream automation within the host management workflow.

December 2024: Established a foundational host inventory management capability for Holo-Host. Delivered the Host Inventory Management Foundation (HAL/inventory crate), creating the scalable base for collecting hardware and system information, setting up file structures, dependencies, and a basic data collection implementation. This work enables automated visibility of assets and paves the way for further enhancements in inventory accuracy and downstream workflows.
