Worked on the finos/git-proxy repository to enhance backend security and maintainability by refactoring the TLS configuration system. The approach involved consolidating certificate and key management into a new TLS object, introducing a getTLSEnabled method to enable conditional HTTPS server startup. This update replaced deprecated configuration paths and improved type safety and test coverage, reducing the risk of future regressions. Additionally, addressed a bug related to TLS certificate and key path resolution by simplifying file handling and removing unnecessary imports, which resolved a Cypress directory issue. The work utilized JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, emphasizing configuration management and code refactoring.
