Worked on stabilizing the auto-compaction workflow for the openclaw/openclaw repository, focusing on backend development using Node.js and TypeScript. Addressed a critical bug by ensuring the subscribe handler’s before_compaction hook received the complete session context, including messages, sessionFile, and sessionKey. This technical approach enabled plugins to accurately identify sessions and transcripts during auto-compaction, improving data integrity and aligning context propagation with other call sites. No new features were released during this period, but the targeted bug fix enhanced the reliability and compatibility of the auto-compaction process, reflecting a methodical approach to maintaining robust backend systems.
