During March 2025, Ming Wang upgraded the auxiliary detector geometry configuration for the 1x2x6 horizontal drift detector in the DUNE/dunecore repository. He refactored the legacy geometry definition, unifying it across multiple service configurations to enhance the accuracy of both simulation and reconstruction processes. Using FCL and applying configuration management best practices, Ming introduced a targeted geometry fix that stabilized the detector model and reduced configuration drift. His work aligned geometry configuration management with project standards, improving maintainability and supporting more reliable physics analyses. The depth of the upgrade addressed both immediate accuracy needs and future extensibility for the project.
