Over a two-month period, contributed to the hashicorp/terraform-provider-aws and opentofu/terraform-provider-aws repositories by enhancing and stabilizing the AWS Outposts asset data source. Delivered a new instance_families attribute, enabling users to retrieve supported instance families for improved data fidelity and planning, and documented the change through clear changelog management. Addressed stability by implementing nil pointer guards to prevent runtime panics, demonstrating defensive programming and robust error handling. Work was completed using Go and Markdown, with a focus on backend development, API integration, and thorough testing, resulting in improved reliability and user experience for Terraform provider consumers managing AWS Outposts.
