Worked on frontend refinement for the highlight-ing/highlight-chat-frontend repository, focusing on simplifying UI dropdown components. Used React, TypeScript, and SCSS to remove unnecessary animation from the audio dropdown, resulting in a static audio indicator that streamlines the user interface. Refactored the ConversationsDropdown by eliminating an unused micActivity variable, which reduced code complexity and improved maintainability. Prioritized code hygiene and targeted refactoring over user-facing bug fixes, contributing to a more stable and adaptable codebase. The work emphasized maintainable frontend development practices, enabling faster future iterations and easier enhancements while ensuring the code remained clean and efficient throughout the development cycle.
