Worked on the nginx-gateway-fabric repository to deliver two features focused on observability and operational flexibility. Developed Helm-based support for custom labels on the NGINX Gateway Fabric control plane service, enabling users to enhance monitoring integration and resource labeling through updated Helm charts and documentation. Later, implemented user-configurable escape formats for data plane access logs, allowing global log formatting control via Helm and reducing the need for per-route customization. These contributions involved backend development and NGINX configuration using Go and YAML, emphasizing maintainability and extensibility while aligning with broader monitoring and logging strategies across Kubernetes environments. No bugs were reported.
