In December 2024, Michi Mussato enhanced the dagster-io/dagster repository by improving the asset materialization workflow’s command line interface. Focusing on developer usability, Michi clarified the behavior of the --select option in the dagster asset materialize command, updating both the help text and user experience to specify that a comma-separated list of asset selections is supported. This Python-based CLI development reduced ambiguity for users selecting multiple assets, aligning the feature with existing selection semantics.
