Contributed to the netbox-community/devicetype-library by developing a detailed device type entry for the APC NetShelter AR1300 server rack. This work involved authoring a comprehensive YAML configuration that accurately captured the rack’s dimensions, weight, and corrected the rack height to 42U, ensuring the digital catalog aligns with the physical hardware. Focused on device type management, the contribution improved inventory accuracy and planning for users relying on the device catalog. The process included disciplined, version-controlled collaboration and careful metadata updates to enhance discoverability. Demonstrated proficiency in YAML and device modeling, delivering a well-documented, issue-tracked feature to the open-source repository.
