Developed and integrated a CI/CD feature for the NGWPC/ngen repository that inspects Docker images and retrieves OCI label metadata to improve build accuracy and image tagging. Leveraged Shell scripting and YAML configuration within GitHub Actions to automate metadata extraction and ensure consistent handling of OCI labels throughout the pipeline. This work addressed issues with label management, resulting in more reliable and reproducible builds as well as faster release cycles. By enhancing traceability and governance in the CI/CD workflow, the developer contributed to the maturity of the project’s build process and strengthened the reliability of image tagging across all releases.
