Worked on stabilizing the transcription service initialization for the fastrepl/hyprnote repository, focusing on backend development and file system operations using Rust. Addressed a critical issue in the Moonshine service build process by correcting the logic for iterating and searching filenames, which previously prevented reliable discovery of essential model files such as tokenizer.json, encoder_model.onnx, and decoder_model_merged.onnx. This fix ensured that the transcription service could consistently locate and load required resources, improving the reliability of the end-to-end transcription workflow. The work emphasized robust file handling and contributed to reducing potential downtime during service startup without introducing new features.
