Worked on targeted stability and correctness improvements in the ROCm/jax and OpenSearch repositories, focusing on backend development and data types management using Java and Python. Addressed numeric precision by preserving integer arithmetic in polynomial evaluation, preventing unnecessary float promotion and updating examples to reflect accurate integer outputs. Enhanced the robustness of metric aggregation in OpenSearch by fixing null result handling in ScriptedMetricAggregator and adding regression tests to prevent exceptions in empty buckets. Strengthened test coverage through targeted unit and regression testing, ensuring more predictable outputs and reliable analytics workflows across critical data paths in production environments.
