Worked on release engineering for the aiidalab-qe repository, focusing on version management and configuration stability. Delivered a targeted update by bumping the release version to v24.10.0a3 across all relevant configuration and versioning files, which enabled the start of a new development and release cycle. The approach emphasized minimizing risk by limiting changes to versioning and configuration, ensuring reproducible builds and traceable releases. Used Python and version control tools to align release artifacts with CI/CD requirements, reducing drift between development and release branches. No major defects were addressed, with primary value delivered through streamlined release management and improved upgrade paths.
