In May 2025, Mikolaj B. enhanced federation observability for the mesosphere/charts repository by implementing a targeted update to the cert-federation role. He added a watch on the federatedsecrets resource, enabling real-time monitoring of secret changes and supporting automated response workflows. This work, delivered through a focused Helm chart update, improved security visibility and release accuracy within Kubernetes-based environments. Mikolaj utilized Helm and Kubernetes, working primarily in YAML, to increment the chart version and ensure seamless integration. The project addressed a specific need for better security observability in federated systems, demonstrating depth in infrastructure automation and role-based access control.
