Worked on cross-repository serialization upgrades for facebook/dotslash, facebook/fbthrift, and facebook/relay, focusing on dependency management and software maintenance using Rust. Addressed compatibility issues by updating serde and serde_json libraries, ensuring consistent serialization behavior and improved data interchange performance across all three repositories. Fixed configuration problems in fbthrift that arose from these library updates, and enhanced relay’s serialization and deserialization capabilities for better performance and compatibility. Leveraged version control to coordinate changes and maintain stability throughout the upgrade process. The work reduced risks from outdated dependencies and established a unified upgrade path for downstream consumers relying on the serialization stack.
