
Worked on the openshift/release repository to enhance CI/CD reliability and maintainability through targeted configuration management. Over two months, updated the CI toolchain to Go 1.23 by modifying YAML-based configuration files, ensuring that backplane-api builds leveraged the latest language features and maintained compatibility. Additionally, addressed technical debt by removing all references to the deprecated hypershift-logging-operator from CI/CD pipelines, including OWNERS files, build roots, and Prow job definitions, which reduced the risk of stale configuration errors and streamlined ongoing maintenance. Demonstrated proficiency in CI/CD processes and configuration management, primarily utilizing YAML and related automation tooling throughout the work.
