Implemented a user-configurable Slurm job start timeout to address unpredictable queue delays and added robust cross-platform native thread ID retrieval for Linux and macOS, ensuring consistent behavior across environments. These changes reduced false job failures, improved deployment stability, and supported production readiness in mixed operating system deployments.
