Worked on enhancing the uptime-kuma repository by advancing Spanish localization for the user interface, aiming to broaden accessibility for Spanish-speaking users. Focused on internationalization and translation, the developer contributed to over 1,500 UI strings, reaching 85.3% completion of the Spanish translation effort. Leveraging JSON for structured language data, they collaborated via Weblate to merge and document translation progress, ensuring consistency and maintainability. The primary localization commit improved the application’s inclusivity and usability, reflecting a methodical approach to i18n and localization. This work addressed the need for broader user reach and laid the groundwork for future multilingual support in uptime-kuma.
