Worked on enhancing VMware monitoring within the sapcc/helm-charts repository, focusing on improving detection and alerting for missing NVMe swap datastores. Leveraged PromQL to refine monitoring expressions, increasing detection accuracy and reducing mean time to resolution for infrastructure issues. Updated alert messages to provide clearer, more context-rich information, streamlining triage and operational response. Ensured release readiness by incrementing the Helm chart version, supporting synchronized deployments across environments. All changes were carefully documented in version control for auditability and future reference. Utilized skills in alerting, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring, with technical implementation primarily in PromQL and YAML throughout the project.
