Worked on the kilocode repository to enhance agent Markdown prompts by enabling dynamic inclusion of external file content using a {file:path} syntax. Implemented this feature in Node and TypeScript, ensuring that missing files resolve to empty strings to prevent prompt failures. Introduced an escapeJson parameter in the configuration substitution logic, allowing control over JSON escaping so that multiline and special characters in raw file content are preserved when needed. Expanded test coverage to validate both the new file loading and error handling scenarios. The work focused on robust full stack development and thorough testing to ensure reliable prompt rendering.
