Worked on enhancing the Feature Exposure Metrics component in the Unleash/unleash repository by implementing a default environment selection mechanism. The solution prioritized automatically selecting the first production environment for metrics display, streamlining the user experience and reducing manual steps. If no production environment was available, the logic safely defaulted to the first development environment, ensuring uninterrupted metrics visibility. This approach improved the accuracy of environmental context in metrics and minimized user intervention. The work was carried out using React for front end development, leveraging both JavaScript and TypeScript to ensure robust, maintainable code and a seamless integration within the existing application.
