Worked on the UKHSA-Internal/data-dashboard-api repository, focusing on backend development with Django and Python. Addressed a critical issue in the APITimeSeries model by removing an unnecessary max_length argument from the metric_value field, ensuring proper alignment with the FloatField type. This targeted fix improved the reliability and accuracy of time-series data consumed by dashboards and analytics, reducing the risk of runtime errors and supporting more dependable reporting. The change was implemented as a minimal, well-documented update, prioritizing code quality and traceability to facilitate easy review and rollback. No new features were added during this period, emphasizing stability and correctness.
