During June 2026, contributed to the basedhardware/omi repository by developing an access control feature for email drafting and sending workflows. This work focused on enhancing security and reliability by enforcing authorization checks on email-related API routes, ensuring only permitted users could draft or send emails. Addressed a critical authentication and route authorization issue, improving compliance and reducing potential vulnerabilities in backend processes. Collaborated with peers to review and implement these changes, utilizing JavaScript and Node.js for backend development. The updates strengthened the overall security posture of the application’s email functionality, reflecting a targeted approach to API development and route validation.
